Adult ADHD Self-Screener
Research suggests that symptoms of ADHD can persist into adulthood, having a significant impact on the relationships, careers, and even personal safety of individuals who suffer from it.
Because this disorder is often misunderstood, many people who have it do not receive appropriate treatment and, as a result, may never reach their full potential. ADHD can be difficult to diagnose, particularly in adults.
ADHD Assessment Clinic shares here a complimentary Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS-v1.1) Symptom Checklist.
Developed by the Workgroup on Adult ADHD - a highly qualified and experienced team of psychiatrists and researchers from Harvard Medical School and New York University Medical School*, in conjunction with the World Health Organization, this self-screener is a valuable tool to assist adults in taking the first step toward evaluating symptoms they are experiencing. Insights gained through this screening may suggest the need for a more in-depth clinician interview for ADHD.
Geared toward adults ages 18 to 60, this symptom screener serves as an introductory tool to qualify symptoms. Note that this screener does not replace a diagnostic assessment. The screener will guide you through six questions found to be the most predictive of symptoms consistent with ADHD.
