About Us
Dr. Amany Hararah, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist & Practice Founder
(CA PSY 26740)
I am one of eight million people in the United States currently living with ADHD.
I can relate to how you're feeling and moving through the world, and I can help.
As a woman, working professional, parent of a young toddler, and someone living daily with ADHD, I know intimately the struggles of balancing responsibilities, staying organized, and maintaining focus amidst the demands of life. These challenges are not just professional for me; they're deeply personal.
My journey with ADHD began in adolescence, when academic challenges left me feeling lost and uncertain.
By happenstance, I stumbled upon a book about psychology that ignited a passion for the subject. Years later, my interest and enthusiasm for the study of human behavior and mental processes lead me to pursue psychology in college and graduate school, resulting in a Doctoral Degree from Argosy University. During clinical training, I encountered ADHD in a rotation with a teaching professor, realizing then that the symptoms I had been experiencing since adolescence had a name. I had ADHD. It was at the moment that I consciously chose to focus my career on the disorder – diagnosing it in individuals, and acquiring and sharing strategies for managing and thriving - with ADHD.
Today, I possess over a decade of professional experience working specifically with individuals to identify and diagnose neurodivergent challenges. Through experience, I have determined the most valuable tests that, when combined in a comprehensive assessment and evaluation, produce a thorough, detailed, beneficial analysis and determination of ADHD.
My personal and professional objective is to offer my experience living with ADHD and advanced expertise in ADHD assessment and evaluation, to empower individuals with ADHD to understand their strengths, overcome challenges, and lead fulfilling lives.
I believe that through our work together, I can help you along the path to a more focused, rewarding, fulfilling life.
